The Winter Open House was a Blast!

In the rain and the snow Harvest Gold warmed their Gallery and poured their wine, and welcomed the guests to celebrate the beautiful art and jewelry.
Many local artist's came out of their studio's for this event, and we had the pleasure of featuring and meeting Murad Sayen, new artist to Harvest Gold Gallery

 A Good Collection for Fall

Who doesn't love a family gem set in a contemporary setting to wear everyday!

Love is always in order with cutout hearts in yellow gold.

People love loons.  They are all white this time of year on the lake, getting ready to fly to open water for the winter.

Stars and the moon and sailboats to feel free and connected all at once.

Lovely Maine tourmaline set in 14k yellow gold by own very own Lynda.
So many fun ideas.
Thanks Raina for the great pics!  (Doesn't the milkweed make this jewelry look elegant?!)

Award Winning American Woodworker Now Showing at Harvest Gold Gallery

We are always excited to share with you, in some detail, the artists that we have show cased at the gallery, especially when they are from our own home state like Rob Jones, our featured artist of the week. Rob Jones is an award winning American Woodworker from Thomaston, Maine. He began his art by building, with assistance, his first banjo, an instrument that had always held an interest for him. Since then, he has built several instruments including banjos, a French horn, trombones, and a trumpet. His musical instruments are played by music professors. He entered his lobster carving in the Maine Sportsman Show and he won the People's Choice award and was hooked from that point on. To view some of his works visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqWRsRDDb1M

At the gallery, we are delighted to have a sample of his very unique bowls, Baltic by Design. They come in four different sizes from small for a candle holder to large enough to be a center piece with fruit. With the wedding season upon us or Father's Day right around the corner, these would made a fabulous and timeless gift. Stop by any day!

Keep Warm with New Quilts from Carole and Charles Hicks

During these cold and wintery months a little extra color and warmth can bring a burst of joy to our lives. With this is mind Harvest Gold Gallery is pleased to present a beautiful collection of handmade quilts to be on display through the winter season. Quilters, Carole and Charles Hicks of Bridgeton, Maine have been immersed in both the quilting and art industry for several years. Their collection of quilts denotes wildlife motifs reminiscent of Maine’s stunning outdoors accented with bright geometric patterns. Carole received her education through classes offered by Cornell University in Hicksville, NY and later went on to teach classes in sewing. With her spare time she continues to further learn the artistry of quilting while also learning to batik handbags, penny wool rugs, needle punch and paper pierce. She is a member of the Chickadee Quilters Association of Bridgeton, ME as well as the Pine Tree Quilters of Maine Association. Her husband Charles has taught classes in industrial arts in both Levittown, NY and for the Lake Region High District in Naples, ME. Together they have received ribbons for their quilts from the Fryeburg Fair Association and are honored throughout the North East for the exquisitely handcrafted and aesthetically designed quilts. The collection of quilts at Harvest Gold Gallery include king, queen, twin, and baby sizes in addition to the one of a kind table runners. The exhibit is on display daily from 10am-4pm so stop in, warm up, and come enjoy some of Maine’s one of a kind fine art. Please call ahead (207)-925-6502.
