With our recent trip to California, this color trend was popping up everywhere, from handbags to belts and shoes no wonder this rose gold trend is on the rise, and here at Harvest Gold Gallery we're staying on top of it! On a beautiful spring Sunday in April we had the opportunity to participate in Portland’s second annual Same Love Same Rights LGBT Wedding expo, made possible by the Rainbow Wedding Network. Held at the newly renovated and breathtaking Westin Hotel (formerly known as the Eastland), we were excited to meet some new faces and make some new friends! 

Newly engaged couples always have that happy glow about them, but there was something deeper in the air in the Westin Grand Ballroom that day. We met young couples eager to embark on their journey together, and older couples so full of joy to finally have the opportunity to be married to their partners.

This crowd was not afraid to step outside the box with their wedding plans, and that was refreshing.  Its always nice to work with couples that have totally new ideas about what kind of jewelry they have in mind for their big day.

Colors of the Season

This season has been very exciting with all the new intertwined and braided possibilities we have been making!

 The narrow three strand braid for the bride.

People have great ideas.  They have been choosing all one color and variations.

Some have inspired us to make a wider version of our favorite three strand intertwined ring :)

 Some have wanted to add side bands in color to accent the center weave in these Celtic bands.

The side rings look nice on the traditional braid too!

Spring in Center Lovell

The warm weather has been helping our creative side.  

Nice Celestial white gold earrings inspired by extra time to star gaze in the warm evenings.

Toasting the snow on a warm evening, we think about the seasons changing.  It is easy to understand why the Tree of Life design is loved by so many.

Also loved this season has been our braided bands.  We've made new widths available to accommodate more finger needs.  

This one is our newest wide three strand braid with 14k rose, green and yellow gold.

Thanks to the nice couple who needed something a little different.

Bi-color Maine tourmaline in pink and yellow seems as rare as an 80 degree day  in mid March in Maine!
